I have already had blood tests done through my GP, why do I need another private test? 

 

• Private functional testing is the fastest, the most effective way of identifying the root of your symptoms. This is a far more comprehensive test looking at hormonal communication from the very top of the chain. I use Genova Diagnostics and the dutch test that I have used on myself with great success. 

• Lifestyle and environmental factors are the most important factors I consider with hormone balancing. I provide fact sheets that uncover this along with brand and product suggestions

• The tests I provide look deeper into how you break down carbohydrates, fats, proteins and which nutrients may be compromised from a cellular level. 

 

 

How many consultations do I need? 

 

At the very least you will need one follow up on just general advice.  Follow-up consultations last 45 minutes. This is where I will assess your progress and any remaining concerns. If you have been diagnosed with a condition or have severe PMS then I would suggest more appointments to really notice a difference.

How does functional testing work? 

 

• I order the test for you and it gets sent to your home 

• Each test works slightly differently however you normally do them in the comfort of your own home

• If you are doing a full macro & micronutrient test this will require a blood test in the phlebotomy clinic in Harley Street London or there are a few clinics around the UK for this

• If you are having a hormone  Rhythm Plus test, there will be two parts to your test (please separate the two bags once they arrive and only start with the bag with most test tubes and separate the smaller bag which should have 5 test tubes. An instruction sheet will be given to you for step by step instructions.
