Mineral rich bone broth - how to soothe digestion


 

Bone broth is so overlooked. It is wonderful for all women at all stages, preparing for pregnancy. Gut healing. Pregnant and postpartum.


We need bone broth more than we think. Here are just a few benefits:

SIMPLE BONE BROTH RECIPE


  1. Use left over bones from a roast chicken, chicken wings, breast or beef. Remove all the meat and place the bones into the slow cooker.

  2. Roughly chop 1/2 carrots, fennel, 1/2 red onion, thumb worth of ginger and pour cold water over over the top until all food is submerged. Turn cooker on low for 24 hours

  3. Next day - discard all the veggies and strain the liquid into a tub and keep to one side. Use either as stock in a dish or drink as it is in a mug

** Bone broth will freeze well for 2/3 months

**Perfect adding 1/2 a ice cube tray to baby weaning food and build up
